Mackenzie turns 8!!

My best friends daughter Mackenzie is turning eight!!

She is so excited to be baptized and be a member of this church. 

 

How fun it is for a girl to be dressed in a pretty white dress and get all dolled up, you can tell by her excitement in these photos.

Sneak Peek Melisa

 

Watch out for moving trains!!

Melisa, her mom and I learned that the hard way as we were taking her senior pictures on this old train bridge at Tempe Town Lakes.  We both thought it was not a working train anymore but we were dead wrong.

 

We now like to think of it as an adventure, on Friday the 13th  mind you.

 

Yes, there were some scary moments in our photo shoot where we had to literally run 100 feet forward to get off the bridge first before we  could get off the train tracks for safety, but we also had a lot of fun capturing Melisa’s bubbly personality.

 

What we’ll do for a great shot right?

Ok not a such a great moment, but now I can check off my bucket list, not that it was ever on there to begin with, sheesh.

 

Seniors are a lot of fun to photograph.

I love a good black and white!

Baby Cash

You can tell how much this little guy is loved just by looking at the pictures in this photo shoot.  Cash’s mom loved black and white and I do too.  These pictures were taken just in front of my garage, sometimes the simplest back grounds are the best; it helps to have such a good looking family too.

Little Baby Kenzie

This was such a fun photo shoot because little Kenzie was on perfect behavior which gave us several opportunities for a  variety of pictures using all sorts of props and outfit changes.  I had so many favorites from this session.

I knew Kenzie’s mom from high school and loved that I had the opportunity to take pictures of her little girl.

Photography Workshop

I had the opportunity to take a photography class from Trevor Dayley and receive some more formal training.

It was so fun to hang out with my sister in law Cherise another great photographer and meet new friends in the business.

I learned a ton and hope to focus more this years on things I learned from the class.  Here are some of my favorites pics from the mock photo shoot we had set up, creating a lot of different looks.
